![A 1960s Imperial Jade, Pearl and White Gold and Ruby Butterfly Brooch the butterfly's antenna quivers when wore this is commonly called 'En tremblant' the antenna is very sensitive to even small movements this technique brings out the lifelikeness of this piece.
The butterfly's wings are made of imperial jade, this type of jade is considered the best and most expensive of all jades at the centre the irregular shaped pearl resembles the butterfly's body with the 2 rubies as the eyes all of these are setting on a 18ct white gold frame.
